Happy International Women’s Day! As we celebrate the incredible achievements and contributions of women around the world, we are reminded of the footprint they have had in shaping the content industry. From authors, journalists, bloggers, marketers, YouTubers, and more, women have been at the forefront of creating some of the most impactful and inspiring content. 

Content marketing is constantly evolving. A lot has changed since our Ultimate List of Top 30 Women in Content for 2022, and so have the faces that have been adopters of these changes. In recognition of this, we have curated a list of the Top 50 Women in Content to showcase the incredible talent, hard work, and dedication of these women. Join us as we honor the women who are making waves in the world of content and inspiring us all to strive for greatness.

1. Alison Jarris

With over 10 years of professional experience, Alison Jarris is currently working as the Global Demand Content Marketing Lead – Google Cloud at Google. She has previously worked with companies such as Salesforce, Talkdesk, and Booz Allen Hamilton. 

In conversation with Anirudh Singla, CEO of Pepper Content, Alison talked about the importance of content quality and said, “I believe content needs integrity, and people must trust your brand. I think there’s so much value in journalistic writers and people who focus on the narrative and are trustworthy sources of information. That is what content quality gets you.”

2. Amanda Natividad

Amanda Natividad is the VP of Marketing at SparkToro, a startup specializing in audience research. With nine years of experience in marketing, Amanda has successfully led numerous growth, B2B content, and marketing programs for several companies. In her earlier career, Amanda worked as a journalist and also as a Test Kitchen Cook and Freelance Writer at the Los Angeles Times.

Amanda says, “In a time when content saturation is higher than ever before, you need to be value-driven. You need to continually win over your audience’s attention.”

3. Amrita Mathur

As the Vice President of Marketing at Superside, a subscription-based design service catering to enterprises, Amrita Mathur brings more than 18 years of marketing experience to the table. Her first job was as a Field Marketing Specialist with Neopost, and since then, she has gained extensive experience in product marketing and customer relations. She rose to the Director level with PriceMetrix in 2011 and subsequently worked with Vision Critical and Top Hat before joining Superside in 2019.

4. Amy Beth Frye-Previs

Amy Beth Frye-Previs is an experienced content marketer with over a decade of experience. She is currently working as a Freelance Writer and Strategist at Amy Beth Frye LLC and has worked with various companies in the past, including Convoy, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Coyote Logistics, and SMS Assist. When not creating brand content, Amy enjoys dedicating her time to her passion for writing.

5. Amy Higgins

With over 20 years of experience in the marketing industry, Amy Higgins is currently working as a Senior Strategy Consultant at Masthead Media Company. Previously, she has worked with companies such as Twilio, Salesforce, Sojern, Concur Technologies, Zendesk, and more.

In conversation with Dhriti Goyal, Associate Director of Product Marketing at Pepper Content, Amy talked about building a content marketing engine with limited time and resources and said, “You should look at your content marketing like a locomotive where you’re going in one direction, but there are many parts that you need to consider to stay on track. The focus should be quality over quantity.”

6. Ann Handley

With over 25 years of experience in the marketing industry, Ann Handley currently works as the Chief Content Officer at MarketingProfs, a company providing marketing solutions to marketers. In addition to her role as a full-time marketer, Ann is a renowned keynote speaker, best-selling author, and blogger. Her prior work experience includes companies such as Banker & Tradesman, Boston Globe, and National Business and Customer Magazines.

Ann says, “Understand your value to your customers. Focus on them relentlessly and with pathological empathy. Make the customer the hero of your story. That is what will set you apart.”

7. Anne McSilver

Anne McSilver is an accomplished content marketer with a keen interest in brand journalism. She possesses a natural flair for engaging and influencing her audience in measurable ways. Anne’s passion for content creation can be traced back to her childhood when she developed a love for telling stories and participated in her school newspaper. Her academic background in journalism further honed her skills in content creation. She is currently working as the Senior Content Marketing Manager and Editor at LinkedIn. 

Anne’s career spans several decades, starting before the advent of the internet. She has worked in newspapers, magazines, and custom publishing, which was referred to as content marketing back then. Her experience in content marketing has enabled her to work with several clients and brands such as Via Magazine, Diablo Magazine, AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah, and more. 

8. Anum Hussain 

Anum Hussain is the Head of Content Marketing at Reforge and the Co-founder of Below the Fold. She started her career by studying journalism and working in news media before transitioning to Boston-based HubSpot as a blog writer. Anum’s move to Reforge provided her with an opportunity to preview the growth domain, which helped her refine her content marketing skills further while working under Brian Balfour. 

In a conversation with Anirudh Singla, CEO of Pepper Content, Anum says, “Content marketing has evolved, and the competition for eyeballs is aplenty. We need to focus on making sure that we attract people through the value and quality of our content versus consistent publishing of content.”

9. Ashley Faus

Ashley Faus brings over a decade of marketing experience to her current role as the Director of Integrated Product Marketing at Atlassian. In addition to her expertise in marketing, Ashley is a versatile individual with talents in singing, public speaking, and a passion for fitness. Prior to joining Atlassian, she worked with several companies, including Palerra, Skyport Systems, and Durate Inc.

Ashley says, “You need to be sharing different types of content in different places regularly to build your credibility and profile, and help people learn from your depth of ideas. But re-mixing existing content saves time and allows you to share your message with new and different audiences.”

10. Becky May

Becky May is the Senior Content Strategist at InSided. Becky May has a strong journalism background, which has fueled her passion for storytelling. Her editorial perspective has given her an advantage in approaching content marketing, as she understands that it’s not just about promoting a product’s features and benefits, but also about crafting an engaging narrative that incorporates the messaging. Becky firmly believes that a well-crafted content marketing strategy is critical to a company’s overall marketing plan.

In her previous role, Becky worked at a digital publishing house where she specialized in B2B beauty. There, she collaborated with content creators and influencers, which ultimately led to her transition into influencer marketing. Becky believes that content marketing is more popular than traditional marketing because people want to read a story, and not want to go to a features page.

11. Bianca Galvez

Bianca Galvez, a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience, currently works as a Content Strategist at Vimeo. Prior to her role at Vimeo, she worked with LivePerson, Onna, and Bizzabo. Bianca’s passions extend beyond her work as a Content Strategist, as she is an accomplished writer, an avid reader, and a coffee enthusiast.

Bianca says, “To retain your customer base, it’s important to build strong relationships through transparent, empathetic, and personalized communications.”

12. Brianna Valleskey

Brianna Vallesky is the Head of Content at Inscribe, an acclaimed platform for detecting fraud and automating document processes in financial technology companies and institutions. With a decade of experience in content, she has mainly worked with B2B SaaS companies in the marketing and sales technology fields. Brianna has a reputation for creating comprehensive content teams from scratch and producing multimedia content for all stages of the customer journey. Her expertise lies in developing market narratives and working with leaders to bring their stories to life and build loyalty within customer bases.

13. Cassandra King 

At Superside, a company that provides design services, Cassandra King works as the Head of Content and Community. With over eight years of marketing experience, she has developed expertise in several areas, including demand generation, content marketing, audience and community building, and more.

According to Cassandra, video is a powerful retention tool. She says, “Video is an emotionally impactful medium. With video, brands can communicate non-verbal cues like body language, facial expressions, and tone of voice in a way that blog posts or static images alone can’t offer.”

14. Chitra Rakesh 

Chitra Rakesh is the Head of Content at Sigma Computing. She has previously worked with companies such as Starburst, Solvvy, Alation, Petasense, and VentureBeat. Her first brush with content marketing happened in 2003 in India when she began working at LeasePlan, a multinational company based in the Netherlands. As a member of the two-person marketing team, Chitra was responsible for establishing LeasePlan’s presence in India, including marketing efforts, driving awareness, education, and pipeline.

In a conversation with Mohammed Sajjad, Senior Sales & Marketing Director at Pepper Content, Chitra talked about the importance of outsourcing content and said, “While you concentrate on building a strong in-house team, you should also be open to someone who has deep technical writing expertise, is familiar with the space, and can be with you for a long time.”

15. Diane di Costanzo

Diane di Costanzo is the Chief Content Officer of Foundry 360 at Dotdash Meredith, where she oversees the production of branded content for clients in various industry sectors and formats, with a focus on personal finance and health content. With over a decade of experience as a branded content strategist, she crafts content programs that deliver ROI and have won numerous awards.

As the editor-in-chief, she launched Millie magazine for Meredith in April 2020 and is also the founding EIC of Paw Print magazine. Diane was named Content Marketer of the Year 2022 by Content Marketing Institute and recognized as one of Folio’s Top Women in Media 2019. She frequently speaks at conferences and events on topics such as branded content, content strategy, and content marketing. She also has 25 years of experience as an award-winning editor, writer, and reporter.

16. Dina Calakovic

Dina’s journey in content marketing started two years ago when she started working as a freelance copywriter and needed new clients. To market her services, she turned to LinkedIn and began creating content with the goal of providing value to her potential clients. Knowing she was competing against more established professionals, she focused on sharing actionable and useful advice. Her efforts paid off, as she soon secured her first copywriting projects through the platform. It was through this work that she met her now-co-founder Steven, and together they founded Marketing Consultancy.

According to Dina, “A good piece of content is when a person can apply your advice immediately after reading your content. The advice needs to be actionable.”

17. Emily Hare

Emily Hare is the Global Content Strategy Director at Publicis Groupe. began her career in journalism at the industry publication, Contagious, where she eventually became managing editor. There, she focused on creating a high-quality publication and website that examined how brands and new technologies were impacting the advertising industry and changing consumer culture. This experience inspired her to explore how brands could put these insights into practice. Drawing on her skills in content creation, including editorial, white papers, and scriptwriting, which she honed as a journalist, Emily has been working in this space for about 20 years now.

In a conversation with Mohammed Sajjad, Senior Sales & Marketing Director at Pepper Content, Emily talked about the importance of data and said, “When you come to producing campaigns, it (data) is much more effective because you’re operating, writing, and creating content that people want to hear about.”

18. Akshatha Kamath

At MoEngage, Akshatha Kamath holds the position of Head of Content Marketing and is responsible for supervising all aspects of content marketing, including marketing, strategy, distribution, and related areas. With a decade-long track record in the content marketing sector, Akshatha brings expertise in digital marketing, communication, content strategy development, and other essential skills to her role. Over the years, she has worked with renowned brands like Simplilearn, Vizury, and Conzerv Systems Pvt Ltd.

19. Fara Rosenzweig

At WorkRamp, an all-in-one learning platform for businesses, Fara Rosenweig holds the position of Head of Content Marketing. With a career spanning back to 2004, Fara has worked in various roles in media, including broadcast programming and online media. She is also an Emmy award-winning producer, writer, and editor with extensive experience building content teams from the ground up for business growth. Fara is well-versed in applying cutting-edge technology, content trends, and integrated marketing campaigns to create exceptional content for consumers.

20. Forum Sheth

With over 8 years of experience, Forum Sheth is a talented storyteller who aims to create impactful stories that make a difference in the lives of the target audience. Currently, as a Marketer at Kula, Forum brings her storytelling skills and resources to founders and recruiters. Prior to joining Kula, Forum gained significant recognition as “Forum from WebEngage” due to her exceptional marketing newsletter curation for four years, while leading the Content and Brand Marketing functions at WebEngage. She began her career as the youngest employee and Content Marketer at Netcore, which was a trailblazer in email marketing that later transformed into a full-stack marketing automation solution.

21. Gordana Sretenovica

Gordana Sretenovic is the Director Of Content Operations at Content Distribution and Co-founder at Workello. She began her career as a writer and ghostwriter while in college and continued in this field for seven years. However, she desired to expand her horizons and was given the opportunity to do so when she joined Content Distribution, a company founded by CEO Nick Jordan.

In a conversation with Aanchal Khosla, Senior Program Manager (Marketing) at Pepper Content, Gordana talked about SEO-led content strategy and said, “If you manage to hit the keywords, internal links, and content quality, I don’t think anyone in this world will have trouble ranking anything. We outrank some huge brands with this strategy.”

22. Hiba Amin

With over 8 years of experience in content marketing and communications, Hiba Amin has obtained several communication and business course certifications. Her career began as a communications and multimedia associate at the Dean of Math office at the University of Waterloo. Her first marketing role was at Veriday, where she analyzed data and created a social media strategy focused on content marketing and more. Since then, Hiba has built an extensive portfolio of result-oriented marketing experience. She is currently working as a Content Consultant at Copy.ai.

23. Irene Malatesta

Irene Malatesta is a content marketer and creative strategist. Her interest in researching and discovering unique ways to tell stories, particularly those focused on creatives, their processes, and the impact of events and people on culture, stems from her background in design and arts education, as well as her fascination with narrative, research, psychology, and technology. Her career has spanned various fields, including technology, product design, brand strategy, and user experience.

Currently, Irene works as a Senior Content Marketing Manager for Adobe. As an expert in acquiring contributors, Irene tells compelling stories about artists to promote the Adobe brand and connects them with opportunities to showcase their work and thrive in the marketplace.

24. Emma Stratton

Emma is a dynamic marketing professional with a passion for creating compelling content and crafting effective communication strategies. She has a wealth of experience in content creation, social media marketing, and digital advertising, having worked with various companies across different industries. Emma is the Founder of Punchy, a consulting and training firm that helps fast-growing B2B tech companies win on positioning and messaging.

25. Jen Holub

Jen Holub is the Vice President of Content Marketing at Scorpion. has been working in the field of content marketing for the past eleven years, witnessing its evolution over time. She began her career at a time when the primary focus of content creation was to appeal to search engines like Google.

According to Jen, it can be tempting to dive right into a task, and while that can be valuable, it’s also crucial to balance action with research and analysis. It’s important to take a step back, look at the bigger picture, and evaluate performance before making any changes. By approaching things strategically, you can make more informed decisions and adjust course as needed.

26. Johanna Johansson

Johanna Johansson is a Consulting Copywriter and Content Strategist. After completing her Masters at the University of Edinburgh, Johanna Johansson set her sights on becoming a copywriter in advertising. With the booming startup world, Johansson found herself working as an intern in a startup, which eventually led her to her current position working for B2B tech startups for the past decade. Johansson fell into the startup world almost by chance, but found it to be a good fit for her.

In a conversation with Anirudh Singla, CEO of Pepper Content, Johanna talked about the measurement of content success and said, “Everyone wants content to be fast, but you need to stay with a topic for quite a big chunk of time to see the impact. It’s like an old cliche, but it’s (content) a marathon, not a sprint.”

27. Kaleigh Moore

Specializing in content, blogging, research, and reporting, Kaleigh Moore is a seasoned freelance writer with over 12 years of experience. Her journey in content began as an intern at Illinois Country Living Magazine, where she wrote articles, researched and wrote cover stories, and gained experience in editing, photography, and events. Kaleigh then went on to become the PR Manager at Central Illinois Foodbank, where she managed social media, planned content, and events, and held the position of Network Ambassador of Marketing/Communication for HungerNet, Feeding America’s intranet site. 

28. Katie Sharp

Katie Sharp has had a diverse career in various areas of marketing, with a primary focus on social marketing for the past seven to eight years in various capacities. She has primarily viewed and analyzed content marketing through a social lens, finding social media to be an exciting and dynamic space to experiment and explore content marketing.

Currently, Katie works as the Director of Content and Culture Marketing at Skillshare, where she is responsible for Skillshare’s organic social content and oversees broader brand marketing initiatives and campaigns.

29. Lisa Banks Paranjpe

Lisa Banks Paranjpe is currently employed at SaaSpirin, a blogging agency that primarily works with emerging SaaS companies seeking to expand their businesses through content marketing.

With over two decades of experience in the industry, Lisa has observed numerous changes throughout her career. Her professional journey began after completing a marketing undergraduate program and an MBA, ultimately leading to a position as a copywriter. Lisa’s business-oriented perspective set her apart, diverging from the typical editorial track.

30. Lisa Toner

As the Director of New Audience Growth & Monetization at HubSpot, Lisa Toner is responsible for leading a team of content marketers to create engaging content to be distributed across various platforms, including YouTube, the HubSpot blog, podcasts, courses, and ebooks. 31. Camille Trent 

Camille is the Director of Content & Community at PeerSignal.org. With a wealth of experience as a content strategist, she has worked in various settings, including startups, agencies, and as an independent contractor. Her areas of expertise include creating category and analysis content, building communities, managing social media, crafting compelling copy, developing event and podcast strategies, and providing content consulting services. 32. Megan Rowlands Sobieski

Megan Rowlands Sobieski has spent nearly 20 years in the content and editorial industry. Beginning with print journalism and newspaper feature writing, Megan transitioned to SEO and e-commerce, where she worked for major retail brands like Saks Fifth Avenue and Lord and Taylor. It was here that she developed a passion for SEO and eventually expanded into content creation across various formats and channels.

33. Monica Noordam Norton

Monica Noordam Norton, currently serving as the Head of Content Marketing (B2C and B2B) at Yelp – a platform that curates crowd-sourced reviews for businesses, brings over 27 years of experience to her role. Beginning her career as a writer and producer at CNN, she has since shifted to marketing. Her most notable role was with Salesforce, where she started as a Senior Marketing Writer and eventually left as an Associate Creative Director.

34. Natasha Puri

As the Content Marketing Lead at Pepper Content, Natasha has carved a niche for herself in the industry by leveraging her exceptional storytelling skills. With over a decade of experience in content marketing across diverse industries, including book publishing, SaaS, and travel, Natasha has earned several accolades for her contributions.

At Pepper Content, Natasha spearheads all customer-facing content creation activities, collaborating closely with writers, editors, and the social and community teams. In recognition of her expertise in content marketing, Natasha was honored among the Top 50 Most Influential Content Marketing Professionals by CMO Asia, World Marketing Congress in November 2019.

35. Nicole Bump

Nicole Bump is the Fractional Content Director at Bump Inbound. She has been working in content marketing for several years, starting as an in-house content marketer. She has gained extensive experience in building a strong online presence and in-house content marketing teams. Over the past three years, Nicole has focused on offering content strategy and editorial planning services, in addition to writing.

36. Rapti Gupta

As the Head of Marketing at Bugasura, Rapti Gupta brings about a decade of professional experience to the table. is a results-oriented marketer who thrives on using innovative strategies to help businesses grow. She has particular expertise in content execution and strategy and strives to maintain a balance between the emotional and analytical aspects of branding and content creation. She understands that measuring the success of a brand and content can be challenging and thus aims to incorporate both data and creativity into her work. She has previously worked for companies such as Aimwiser, Instamojo, and IBT Media.

37. Disha Parekh

With more than ten years of experience in managing teams and communities, UX writing, copywriting, and strategizing for content marketing, product marketing, and customer marketing, Disha is an accomplished Content Marketer. Her expertise has been recognized by WMC, which awarded her among the Top 50 Content Marketing Professionals in 2019 and 2022. She is currently working as the Head of Content at PriceLabs.

38. Pearl Chen

Pearl Chen is the Head of Content Marketing at Shutterstock. She began her career in editorial publishing, where she wrote and edited for digital and print properties. She worked as an editor at Time Inc. for an extended period before pursuing a master’s program in strategic communications at Columbia University. The program included individuals with backgrounds in journalism, marketing, PR, and communications. After completing her degree, Pearl transitioned to creating branded content at a non-profit in finance and later moved to a late-stage startup in video technology. She has since worked in content capacities for corporations like IBM and Bloomberg, which allowed her to combine her passion for creativity and writing with larger business objectives.

39. Dipashree Das

With over 19 years of experience, Dipashree is an accomplished marketing leader who has been recognized with numerous awards for her contributions to the industry. She has a proven track record of launching and developing successful brands across eight countries in the APAC region. Dipashree has worked with top organizations such as Amazon, Netflix, Singtel, Channel NewsAsia, and NDTV, where she has led go-to-market strategies for both new and established brands. Her approach blends digital, social, content-led, and locally nuanced B2B, B2C, and B2B2C marketing strategies to drive exponential business growth. Dipashree is currently working as the Head of Partner Marketing, APAC & ANZ, AmazonFuse at Amazon.

Priya Patankar, who has more than 20 years of experience, is currently leading the PR, External, and Internal Communications team at PhonePe. 43. Ruth White-Cabbell

Ruth White-Cabbell is the Head of Content Marketing at Snowflake. 45. Sneha Beriwal

Sneha Beriwal, the Global CMO of VAHDAM, has more than 13 years of marketing experience. 46. Sonya Gulnova

Sonya Gulnova has been leading digital marketing at Swing Vision, an AI-based tennis app, for the past two and a half years. Originally from Siberia in Russia, Sonya was a professional tennis player until she received a full athletic scholarship at a Division-1 university in California. After a content marketing role at a bootstrap fitness app for women, she joined Swing Vision in the spring of 2020. Sonya has been passionate about marketing and content creation since high school.

47. Sushmita Venkatraman
