During the initial decade of my career, I found myself deeply immersed in the mesmerizing world of the experiential industry. It was a thrilling journey of managing extravagant Indian weddings held at various destinations, both within India and abroad. I had the honor of curating exceptional IPs (Intellectual Properties) and crafting unforgettable, larger-than-life experiences for both the esteemed attendees and gracious hosts.

Having been a part of this industry since its nascent years, I had the unique opportunity to witness its splendid growth and evolution over time. However, my insatiable curiosity and drive for continuous growth led me to pivot toward the realms of business management and marketing during the subsequent five years. I dived into the depths of understanding the intricate process of creating and delivering value to customers. My quest further led me to internalize the framework of assessing customer value and transforming this knowledge into actionable marketing strategies and impactful programs.

As a professional, I am a unique amalgamation of the experiential events and marketing worlds. By bringing these two realms together, I found my true calling—a passion for blending unforgettable experiences with powerful marketing strategies. Along my journey, I achieved significant milestones, including adding structure to relatively fragmented businesses within the event management, luxury catering, and music artist management domains.

These businesses, often small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), required special attention and a different approach. Additionally, I made it a point to stay laser-focused on impactful marketing, where a single well-thought-out action could yield far greater results than numerous mundane efforts combined.

Together, these accomplishments form the heart and soul of my remarkable journey in the dynamic world of marketing and experiential events.

2. Was there a specific moment that solidified your passion for marketing?

Certainly, there was a specific moment that solidified my passion for marketing. It was the sheer satisfaction of seeing one of my projects come to life and witnessing the positive impact it had on customers.

Whether it was a marketing campaign or an event, the feeling of fulfillment that came with knowing that I had successfully engaged and delighted my audience was unparalleled. This moment made me realize the true power of marketing in creating meaningful experiences for people and building lasting connections with them.

It ignited a deep passion within me to explore further and find innovative ways to bring value to customers through impactful marketing strategies.

In today's experience-driven economy, effective brand positioning is crucial for growth and success. This realization further strengthened my passion for marketing. I came to understand that marketing is not just about promoting products or services but about crafting experiences that resonate with the audience on a personal level.

In my evaluation of the current marketing space, I have observed a significant transformation. Marketing has evolved from being solely a marketing department's responsibility to become a critical business function that drives the entire business activity.

It is no longer limited to just communication and tactical discipline; rather, it has emerged as a strategic discipline that forms the foundation of a company's operations. This shift has been driven by the increasing recognition of the vital role marketing plays in shaping a brand's image, customer perception, and overall success.

Marketing is not just a marketing team function; it's a very strategic discipline that goes to the very foundation of the business activity.

As we look to the future, I believe the marketing landscape will continue to experience constant evolution, largely influenced by emerging technologies like AI. AI-powered tools have already disrupted the industry, and their impact will only grow stronger in the coming years. Businesses will need to embrace agility and adaptability to keep up with these advancements and stay competitive in the fast-paced environment.

Moreover, successful businesses will be the ones that are open to embracing change and willing to experiment with new technologies and strategies to engage their target audience effectively. 4. How has your experience been with AI and technology in marketing? Which tools do you find most effective?

My experience with AI and technology in marketing has been nothing short of revolutionary. AI-powered tools have transformed the way we approach marketing tasks, making processes like targeting, segmentation, and content creation more efficient and impactful.

History will be divided into the pre-AI and post-AI eras; that's how disruptive AI is.

It's fascinating to witness how these tools have enhanced our ability to engage with the audience on a deeper level, delivering personalized and relevant content that resonates with them. As a marketing professional, I have had the opportunity to experiment with various AI-powered tools, and the results have been remarkable.

Among the tools I've explored, stands out for its ability to provide high-quality voiceovers. This tool has proven to be an excellent addition to our marketing arsenal, enabling us to create compelling audio content that enhances our campaigns' effectiveness.

Additionally, has been a game-changer when it comes to text-to-video conversions. Its seamless integration has allowed us to transform written content into engaging videos, expanding our reach and making our messaging more visually appealing.

And of course, ChatGPT has been a game-changer in our content creation process. Its ability to generate human-like responses has not only saved time but also elevated the quality of our communication with the audience. Overall, the success of these tools highlights the significance of having an ideal marketing stack that caters to the specific needs of our business and seamlessly integrates with our existing tools and processes.

5. What is your ideal marketing stack?

Ultimately, the ideal marketing stack varies based on the specific needs and goals of each business. It is essential to select tools that align with your industry, target audience, and marketing objectives. Moreover, integration is a significant challenge that marketers face. Seamless integration between various tools is crucial for a smooth workflow and a comprehensive view of data.

For instance, in one of my organizations, we had an ERP and CRM system, but they didn't communicate effectively. While the ERP system handled finance and materials, it lacked essential marketing functionalities. Dealing with disconnected systems that work in silos can be a nightmare for marketers.

Therefore, it's vital to choose tools that not only cater to your specific requirements but also seamlessly integrate with other tools in your marketing stack. This integration empowers marketers with a holistic approach, enhancing efficiency and providing valuable insights for better decision-making.

6. What constitutes great content, and how can brands get their content machinery right?

Great content, in my opinion, is all about putting the receiver first. It should be engaging, informative, and valuable to the target audience. As marketers, we must always think from the perspective of our audience because if we lose sight of their needs and interests, we lose the game. Well-written and visually appealing content that provides insights and solutions to the reader's problems can evoke emotions, make them laugh, and even make them reflect on their own experiences.

The ultimate goal of great content is to make the customer fall in love with your brand. Whether it's for brand awareness, establishing thought leadership, or driving customer engagement and loyalty, content that resonates with the audience creates a lasting impact. Setting up the right content machinery begins with defining your target audience and understanding their preferences and interests.

Developing a content strategy that outlines the types of content to be created, the topics to cover, and the distribution channels is crucial for a focused approach. Structuring a content calendar with detailed information on content publication schedules, titles, target audiences, and platforms ensures a well-organized content plan. Investing in the right tools and resources is equally important.

Content creation requires a diverse set of skills and resources, from writers and editors to designers and marketers. Utilizing content management systems, graphic design tools, and marketing automation tools streamlines the process and enhances efficiency. Regularly measuring and refining the content strategy through analytics allows for adjustments and improvements over time.
